Meet Caleb Bautista

Hi, my name is Caleb Bautista, and I’m the owner of Execukids Entrepreneurs. To start, I want to thank you, and also, congratulate you on becoming a kid entrepreneur. I am so excited for you to learn how to start and run a successful business of your very own. Now, if you don’t already know, Execukids was not my first company. I started my first business called Caleb’s Canine Cleanup when I was just twelve! I wanted a way to make some money so I could buy anything I wanted to, and not have to ask my mom for it. Using the skills I had from picking up my own dog’s poop. I set on to my neighborhood, to see if anyone else needed my help.

Originally, I thought that no one would want to hire me because, I was just a kid, and I still am. To be honest, it was my mom who first encouraged me to go out and make some money. And I was a little scared on the whole “managing a business” thing; and hey, it’s okay for you to be too. I was so surprised at how encouraging my neighbors were to support me. My first month, I started out with only one client a week making just 40 bucks a month. Three years later I have a smooth running business with nine paying customers, and more hiring me every week, I only have to work two hours a day for just two days of the week, compared to my friends, that’s pretty good.

Now, knowing that I have a busy life with a packed schedule, I needed to make sure that I could maintain my grades, continue with my after-school activities, and still have fun while owning this business. No one said it was going to be easy, but trust me, it is so worth it. Starting my own company gave me so many important life skills that you get to learn too: Money Management, Time Management and Public Speaking are all important skills that you will learn and can apply in the real world.

So, I have a question for you. Is there something you want but can’t afford yet? Do you want a new video game, new phone, or even save up for a car? Whatever it is that you are working towards. It will be so much more achievable when you have your own business. So, congratulations and I look forward to helping you get your new Execukids Entrepreneurs business started!
